About Unlock PDF
Unlock PDF removes a password you already know from a protected document, producing an ordinary PDF that opens without a prompt each time.
How to use Unlock PDF
Add your protected PDF
Drag your protected PDF onto the upload area at the top of the page, or tap it to browse your device. You can also pick a file straight from a phone or tablet — the interface adapts to small screens.
Enter the current password
Type the passphrase that currently opens the document. It is used locally to decrypt the file and is never stored.
Remove the protection
The document is decrypted and re-saved without an open password.
Download your unlocked PDF
A result card appears directly under the upload box. Press the download button and the unlocked PDF is saved to your device immediately. The upload area stays open, so you can process another file without reloading the page.
